Tower of God 신의 탑 is based on a Korean manhwa 만화 , a graphic novel.
I enjoyed season 1 (on Crunchyroll). It’s not clear if or when season 2 is coming.
I had a hard time understanding why, after fighting their way to the top of the tower, people would choose as their reward to become coffee-drinking test administrators.
Upon considering it though, I realised the entire show is probably a metaphor for the ruthlessly, crushingly competitive school admissions process in Korea (and across many countries in the region), where you have to write exams to progress level by level and to get into the schools you want, with a potential reward of a comfortable bureaucratic position.

If you enjoyed Tower of God, a roughly comparable tower progression show is the Japanese Sword Art Online ソードアート・オンライン anime, although only the Aincrad arc and the -Progressive- retelling of the Aincrad arc. They are very different shows but well, they both have towers you fight through to get to the top.
